Course details

The MBA in Healthcare Administration Management is a two-year course that gives students a chance to study and attain their master’s while employed. 

Distance learning

This MBA course is perfect for students who wish to study independently. The program’s hybrid, remote learning structure is ideal for those who want to enhance their careers but are currently employed. It consists of workshops, tutorials, self-directed reading, and case study analysis. Moreover, workshops are delivered in a hybrid style, utilising a mix of online and in-person classes. It allows academics to communicate with one another, encouraging collaborative intelligence.

The purpose of the REGENT Business School MBA in Healthcare Management Dissertation is to develop students’ advanced cognitive and pragmatic thinking skills towards the conceptualisation, composition, design, and implementation of research processes. 

This entirely independent module aims to assess the results of students’ research skills against the pre-determined set of outcomes of a completed dissertation. 

As a result, it ensures that the student is analytically engaged and aligned with a balanced approach to the complexity level expected of student performance at NQF Level 9.

Entry requirements

Admission requirements for the MBA Healthcare course are as follows: 

  • An appropriate Honours Degree or equivalent qualification OR;
  • A relevant Postgraduate Diploma or equivalent qualification OR;
  • A professional Bachelor’s degree at NQF Level 8 (480 credits)

In addition to this, the applicant must also:

  1. Be 25 years of age or older and;
  2. Have at least three years of working experience

In keeping with the national imperatives of widening access and in line with REGENT’s mission, a maximum of 10% of the cohort may be admitted via the alternate admissions route of RPL.
